Ducking the Donald

At this point, it's pretty much impossible to avoid being reminded of Donald Trump's existence at least a dozen times a day.

While the Donald is not cancer-causing (as far as we know), we believe it's best for him - and for us - to limit his public appearances, especially considering there is going to be a second season of "The Apprentice" to watch. The last time Trump got so full of himself he eventually went broke and the stock market crashed.

Bearing that in mind, here's a list of upcoming Donald-related products and events to avoid:

Bookstores: "How to Get Rich," the Donald's latest book, is one of a growing number of Random House Inc. hardcover books that have been priced to sell. The release of another title, "Think Like a Billionaire," will coincide with the second season of "The Apprentice." Avoid prominent display tables.

Celebrity Events: Trump will be the subject of the annual New York Friars Club roast scheduled for Oct. 15. He will also play at the American Century celebrity golf tournament at Lake Tahoe, on July 16 to 18, to be aired on NBC. Avoid roasts. Quit golf.

Ads: In April, Bank One introduced a Trump Rewards Visa card, along with a series of television commercials. Commercials for Verizon Wireless have featured Trump as well. Pay cash. Use payphones.

Radio: This month, Premiere Radio Networks will begin syndicating 60- to 90-second radio commentaries by Trump. Switch to AM.
