Downtown Brooklyn's Belltel Lofts lands MTV's Real World
Brooklyn's Belltel Lofts will play host to the next season of MTV's pioneering reality show, "The Real World." The 27-story art deco building on Bridge Street got the official nod on Sunday after weeks of rumors. The $6 million two-story penthouse overlooks Downtown Brooklyn. The 6,000-square-foot penthouse sports two terraces, five bedrooms, and, after MTV's remake of the digs, it will also feature a Jacuzzie and other amenities. The contract, signed on Friday, prohibits filming in public building facilities, like the gym. Building owner David Bistricer noted that safeguards would be put in place to keep the young and rambunctious Real World cast from irritating the other Belltel residents.

This will hopefully be the start to the revival of Brooklyn. It has already started, but it will bring national and internation attention to Brooklyn.

it is the end of brooklyn. the real world has been dead for 10 yrs. no one cares except for 14 yr old girls. i dont think that will help bklyn. just make it less classy and more commercial.
