Delays leave Ground Zero church in limbo
July, 03, 2008
Seven years after the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church was crushed by the south tower at the World Trade Center, the church is still not rebuilt. The hurch and the Port Authority still have not finalized the exchange of land needed for it to rebuild. The Port Authority can't proceed with the southern foundation wall for the entire site or move forward with security plans for the site. This week the authority announced that there would be more delays and higher costs for the World Trade Center's reconstruction.
