City to sell Rockaway land to residents

The 17 homeowners residing on the Beach 84th Street Pier in the Rockaways will have a chance to purchase the land their homes sit on from the state and city, following the expected approval of a community board Uniform Land Use Review Procedure slated to begin in September or October. Gov. Patterson signed legislation approving the sale in July.
